At 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, police were called to the Rockland Trust bank in West Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard, for an armed robbery. Three men wearing Halloween masks and armed with handguns stormed the bank and tied up bank tellers before fleeing in one of the tellers' stolen car. The car was later discovered abandoned about six miles away near the Manuel F. Correllus state forest.
An anonymous tip led police to search the Holliday Inn in Falmouth for the bank around 10 a.m.
