Thousands of people of Delhi-NCR take advantage of the Delhi Metro service daily. There is a lot of movement at the metro stations from morning till night. In such a situation, the security of the stations becomes very important. CISF is responsible for the security of Delhi Metro. CISF personnel are ready 2

Today we will tell you what is the capacity of these scanner machines and how there is no possibility of any mistake due to their sharp eyes.

Capacity to check 550 bags in an hour

Recently a new scanner system has been installed at some metro stations in Delhi. Soon they will be installed at all metro stations. The new scanner has the capacity to check 550 bags in an hour. The scanners currently installed at the metro station have the capacity to clear 350 bags in an hour. The speed of the conveyor belt in the new system is 30 cm per second. And in the old scanner machine, this speed is 18 centimeters per second. Metro management says that due to the fast running of the conveyor belt, there is no rush of passengers at the scanner point during peak hours and the checking of luggage also becomes faster.

Small plate of 35 mm steel also gets scanned

High resolution images are obtained from the scanner machine installed at Delhi Metro station. Large monitors have also been installed to view them. In such a situation, the possibility of lapse in security is reduced. DMRC has so far replaced the old scanner machines with new hi-tech scanner systems at Kashmere Gate, AIIMS, Rajour Garden, Huda City Center, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Noida Sector-18 and Palam metro stations. The new system can also scan steel plates as small as 35 mm. Small things present in the luggage can also be seen with the new system. Explosives are mainly detected by means of scanners. Apart from this, sharp iron objects and other small and sharp weapons are also searched.
